How to play

You cook waffles, then you deliver them.

1. Your tray starts empty. Nobody will take a delivery until you've actually made something. Head for the diner with the big WAFFLES sign and stand on the mat by the door — the prompt says Into the Waffle House.
2. Walk to the middle iron — the one with the waffle sign floating over it and a ring on the floor. Every ring on the floor is something you can use.
3. Pour, then lift. Press the button once to pour the batter. A needle starts crossing the gauge, and it speeds up and slows down as the iron runs hot and cold. Press again while it's in the pale golden band. Too early is batter, too late is charcoal — both go in the bin.
4. Top it. Syrup, butter, or plain. Orders sometimes ask for a specific topping and pay a bonus when it matches.
5. Keep going until you have enough. The strip above the gauge shows what every town is waiting on right now. Then hit Done.
6. Get out there. Leave through the door and follow the dirt tracks — they run from the Waffle House to every town. A glowing ! and a column of light mark anywhere that wants waffles, arrows on the ground point at the nearest one, and tags at the edge of the screen show the rest.
7. Hand them over. Walk up to the keeper and the prompt tells you what they ordered. You get paid per waffle, more for perfect ones, more for matching the topping, more for arriving with time left, and more again for a delivery streak.
8. Spend it. The till inside the diner sells berry and chocolate toppings, a moped, delivery robots and apprentice bakers. And something else, in a glass case, out on the road.
9. Let others do the work. Robots park in the dock out front — walk up and load one with waffles from your tray and it drives the order out on its own. Apprentices work the side irons, drip waffles into your tray, and will load the robots for you.
10. It doesn't end. After the first four deliveries you can keep going: orders arrive on a clock, get bigger, and the timers get tighter.
